The “R” and “M” version of the Leica 90mm f/2 APO-Summicron ASPH are optically identical. There can of course be minor differences due to mechanical variation, but the optical formula is the same, as the MTF chart shows. s
Because your author owns the “R” version, many examples for the 90/2 APO ASPH are shot with the 90mm f/2 APO-Summicron-R ASPH using the Leica R-Adapter M.
