Fuji Finepix X100 — Conclusion
I published my conclusions page of the Fujifilm Finepix X100 review.
Bottom line: I think the X100 is a camera that fills a very useful hole in my gear collection, so I bought one.
To be clear for those who have not read my review: the X100 is not a camera for action, portraiture at f/2 with precise focus, or fast grab-shot street shooting. Expecting it to be will result in frustration. However, for stopped-down shooting where some focus variation can be tolerated, street shooting where one can prefocus and/or where precise focus is not critical, the X100 will serve admirably well. But it’s not quite the same as my Leica M9, which allows me to grab stuff instantly.
Over the next few months, I expect to expand the examples in my review with shots I take in the field on various trips.
